We have a range of membership levels available from writers/illustrators, to those who wish to be associated through their passion for comedy to student membership for aspiring writers and illustrators. If you wish to apply please email and we will give you an application form to complete
Writer Membership
This is suitable for published authors/ Illustrators/performers about comedy and script writers of comedy. Your annual membership includes the following:
- Subscription to bi-annual e-magazine including promotion of your upcoming projects.
- Free table at our annual book festival.
- Annual networking lunch
- Private forum
- Sell your signed books on our shop with 100% profit going to you.
- Your website and social media listed on our links page.
- Write articles for the bi-annual magazine.
- Promotion of Appearances.
- Offer workshops and talks to associate and student members.
- Discount on all Write On Comedy events.
- Publicity
- Networking events.
- Support with book launches.
N.B. You must be a published author to access this level of membership.
Associate Membership
This is suitable for people who support and love comedy. Your membership includes the following:
- Subscription of bi-annual e-magazine.
- Priority booking for annual book festival.
- Discounted workshops and talks.
- Meet and Greet events.
- Access to discounts at the online shop.
- Competitions.
- Social gatherings.
- Online Comedy Course for £25
- Support for aspiring writers.
We aim to also provide bursaries in the future for any aspiring writers/illustrators.
You will be posted a membership card which you will need to bring to events and quote the number when booking events to receive your discount.

Student Membership
This is suitable for students looking for a career in writing, illustrating, journalism and media. Your membership will include:
- Subscription of bi-annual e-magazine.
- Priority booking for annual book festival.
- Discounted workshops and talks.
- Meet and Greet events.
- Access to discounts at the online shop.
- Competitions.
- Free advice from our writers.
We aim to also provide bursaries in the future.
N.B. You must have an NEU membership card to access this level.
